Why Book Me?

My clients tell me that I'm fun, unobtrusive and easy to work with, but if you're looking for more reasons to book me, here's a few things I might do differently from the next photographer.

I LIKE A GOOD CHAT

I'm a social butterfly and love meeting new people along with catching up with old friends. Wether we are meeting for the first or the fifth time, I will always take the time to have a chat with you - it helps us get to know each other before the big day.

I USE DIGITAL EVERYTHING

Gone are the days when we needed to write everything down on paper - I use a digital system for creating and managing your contract, invoice, questionnaire, shot list, timeline and other notes within your personal online client portal, so everything is available at a click of the mouse!

I DO GROUP SHOTS YOUR WAY

Very few people want to spend hours posing with a fake smile on their face, so I like to keep the formals short and sweet! I am happy to give you suggestions and guidance without dominating your wedding plans, or the day itself.

I'M A FULL-TIME PROFESSIONAL

Wedding photography is my only career, which means my attention is not divided by another job and I am available through the weekdays along with evenings and weekends. This means  fast responses and a quick turnaround time when it comes to getting your photographs back.

I KNOW MY LIMITS

With 9 years of wedding photography experience I've had time to figure a few important things out. I limit myself to 20 weddings per year meaning I'm not burnt out, or sitting on a huge backlog. However, even if I have your date available I may be full for that year so its important to get in touch with me as soon as possible. I rarely book back-to-back weddings so I am well-rested and full of beans for your big day.

I LIKE TO KEEP THINGS SIMPLE

Forget confusing add-ons and hidden charges - I like to keep things simple and as stress-free as possible for you. This means I work hard in the run up to your day and after, with no complex processes, including designing a completely unique album layout just for you. My online galleries allow you to download your photographs from anywhere in the world too!

I LIKE TO GIVE YOU RIGHTS

I always give you full-size, high-resolution printable photographs on USB along with the rights to use the photographs as you wish. I don't plaster them with logos or watermarks, and quite frankly you could use them on a billboard if you wanted to! Once that USB is in your hands, those photographs are truly yours.

I LIKE INDIVIDUALITY

Just as no two weddings are exactly the same, I aim to tailor my wedding photography to each couple's needs. As a creative artist I don't want to churn out the same photos at the same venues, and the more I get to know you before the wedding, the more I'll be able to capture something that means the world to you.

I LIKE IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS

I love it when you have an idea for a photograph, even if you think it sounds bonkers! It's always fun to try something different and personal, so if you're wondering how to ask "can we try couple shots on a bouncy castle?" you already had me at "can we"!

I BELIEVE IN BACK-UPS

I like to make sure I am fully equipped and ready for anything, and I take my job seriously. This includes having back-ups of everything from cameras and memory cards, to a 2nd photographer, to making several copies of your photographs just in case. Better safe than sorry!

I LIKE TO LEARN NEW TRICKS

I believe it is important to stay motivated and educated. I invest in myself by taking part in workshops and learning from other established photographers, and try to be the best I can be for my clients. I also like to keep up-to-date with editing techniques and technology.

I'VE BEEN THERE

I married my husband in 2012 and although I was already in the wedding industry, seeing things from the couple's perspective changed things for me. It's likely that I'll understand the stress of arranging appointments during office hours, or the dreaded table plan drafts. If you need advice or just an ear, I hear you!
